Your product does incredible things.
Nobody's seeing it.
Screenshots don't move. Screen recordings are boring. And nobody's signing up for a free trial just to understand what your software does. A product demo video shows the platform doing what it does best, without the viewer needing a login.
Product demo videos work across the entire funnel. On your landing page, they stop the scroll and explain the product before someone bounces. In a sales deck, they do the heavy lifting so your rep isn't narrating screenshots. In an investor pitch, they show the product is real, polished, and moving. In onboarding sequences, they get new users to value before they churn.
Animated product demos also age better than screen recordings. When your UI changes (and it will) you don't need to reshoot the entire video. Individual screens can be updated without starting from scratch. I've made software demo videos for platforms from fintech to property management, and the brief is always the same: show the product doing what it does, clearly, in under two minutes.

Trudi / AI Property Management
Trudi's AI handles tenant communication, maintenance, and financials. The animated product demo walks through each workflow without overwhelming the viewer or needing a single screenshot.
Wipster / Video Feedback Tool
Wipster needed to show how their video review workflow connected across teams. The product demo walks through the full platform, step by step, in 90 seconds.
Atomic / In-App Messaging
Atomic's product was technically deep and hard to pitch to non-technical buyers. The software demo video did the explaining before the sales call started.
Good2Pay / Paperless Invoicing
Good2Pay needed a product demo animation that showed the full invoicing flow, from creation to payment, without getting lost in the details. Clean, fast, and built for their landing page.
"62% completion rate. 21% view rate. For a video about bins, we are pretty astounded by the results. This will be a long-term asset for our business."

Common questions about
product demo videos.
What's the difference between an animated product demo and a screen recording?
A screen recording captures your software as-is — cursor movements, loading states, and all. An animated product demo is a crafted piece of motion design that shows your software at its best. You control pacing, focus, and narrative. It looks polished on a landing page, in a sales deck, and in an investor pitch. And it doesn't break every time your UI changes.
How long should a product demo video be?
Most product demo videos land between 60 and 90 seconds. That's long enough to show the core workflow and short enough to hold attention on a landing page or in a sales email. Longer walkthroughs (2–3 minutes) work well for onboarding sequences or detailed feature tours where the viewer is already invested.
Can the video be updated when the UI changes?
Yes. Because animated product demos are built from designed assets — not screen recordings — individual screens or sections can be updated without remaking the entire video. This is one of the biggest advantages over screen recordings, which need to be completely reshot after any interface change.
What information do you need to get started?
I need access to your product (or detailed screenshots and a walkthrough), your brand guidelines, and clarity on who the video is for and where it will live. A 30-minute kickoff call covers the rest. I'll handle scripting, storyboarding, and animation from there.
How long does a product demo video take to produce?
Most product demo videos are delivered within 4–6 weeks from kickoff. That includes scripting, storyboarding, design, animation, and two rounds of revisions. Shorter feature highlight videos can turn around faster — typically 2–3 weeks.
